According to the investigations of the International Labour Organization ( ILO) around the world there are 250 million children worker and many of them are victims of the worse form of child labour. From 6.200.000 habitants of El Salvador 2.200.000 are minor 18 years old, it means 30% of the population (about 1,936,987) children are workers.

(Survey Ministry of Economy and Government of El Salvador 2001). These alarming numbers of infantile work obey to a great extent to the legacy of the socio economics difficulties as result or the war civil. In many cases to command to the children to work has been the strategy of survival adopted by numerous poor homes that had remained with a single ancestor.

Approximately a third of the children who work living in the rural zones and they take care of tasks agricultural or related agriculture sector where the problem of the child labour mainly the culture of the coffee and the sugar cane. Also children work in other sectors as fishes, recovery of materials in rubbish dumps, manufacture of artificial games, sexual operation, and traveling sales on small scale. Thanks to the International Programme on the Elimination of Child Labour (IPEC) and International Labour Organization (ILO) Agape of El Salvador is contributing to prevent the infantile Labor and to eradicate the child labor in the coffee industry. Population total Goal: 3,130 young including minor 6 years Children, 7-14 years old, 15-18 years old and their mothers.
