The God’s Rescue program was started in January 1996. This program was the answer to help all the neighboring villages of Sonsonate. These villages were vulnerable because of the lack of economic, social and geographical reasons. God’s Rescue Program now offers the following basic services to these villages:

  • Health.
  • Education.
  • Vocational Formation.
  • Recreation.
  • Labor Reintegration.
  • Communitarian Organization.

All with the purpose of preventing an increase of development and social problems in the social risk and periphery Sonsonate us delinquency, drug addiction, seas, violence interfamily, infantile maltreat, prostitution, indigence, etc. Initially this program was part of the network PROCIPOTES and the project was financed by the USAID. This program had national reach until the program was stopped in 1998. Association AGAPE of El Salvador has continued to help at the same level of attention, since 1998 to present date assuming the total cost to continue the God’s Rescue Program.

The initial population consisted of 60 children with a high quantity of the child  coming from the street with their relative’s tutors and parents. The quantity of the population is currently 200 children and 350 parents.  

     
Population Goal Initially the population was constituted by 60 children with high degree of street boys their relatives tutors and parents, later the population goal was growing, at the moment there are 200 children and 350 parents from family distributed of the following form: Population direct Goal (young) two hundred children both girls and boys of the ages between 6 and 18 years old are attend regularity therapy at the program recovering their minds and good habits hoping that they can return to the school, factory or work.

  • Anti parasites treatments.
  • Served foods (Lunch).
  • Foods not prepared.
  • Permanent qualification in all God's Rescue areas.
  • Psychological Evaluation.
  • Individual Therapy.
  • Group therapy.
  • Familiar therapy.


Technical Teem

God’s Rescue Technical Coordinator is Mauricio Mejía. The technical team is made up of: • Psychologists. • Educators and Social Worker.
