Agape´s
Home for the Elderly Peace and Good Will was founded in Sonzacate
by Father Flavian Mucci on November1985 to provide a home for the
elderly who ate at Agape´s Soup Kitchen. Father Flavian realized
that the people from the Soup Kitchen were too old to live in the
streets and needed more medical attention and care. When he celebrated
Mass to pray for the first person who died at the Soup Kitchen,
Father Flavian noticed everyone was crying. He found out that they
cried because they were deeply moved that they had found someone
who would take care of them in their old age and they would not
have to die like dogs in the streets.
At the beginning, the home for the elderly provided
shelter for 16 people. Nowadays, 100 senior citizens live
at Agape. The home has capacity for 120 people. We provide the following
services:
- Specialized
odontological attention
- Permanent
psychological attention for those who need it

to those who wish to visit their families

but the majority of them do not have anyone to take care of them.
Their ages range between 70 and 103. We provide shelter, food, clothing,
