PROYECTO ENTRA21 EN EL SALVADOR

Graduated(as) phase II

GROUPS ENABLED AND IN PROCESS:
Project executed by Association Agape of El Salvador in the departments of Sonsonate and La Union.
This project is executing for young people men and women about ages 17 to 29 years old who have no money to go to school.

At this date six courses (4 software operator and 2 Computers Maintenance and Repair), has been success developed, it means that 120 young students, 66 male and 54 female got graduation on November 2003.

Other 6 courses (4 Software Operator and 2 Computers Maintenance and Repair) are executing to 129 young students since October 16th, 2004, that is the Phase II

ANSWER FROM THE YOUNG PEOPLE TO ENTRA 21:
253 young came to the selection process for inscription, then, 128 young was select during the first phase.

For the second phase 383 young came to the selection process, then 129 persons were select.

All words before mentioned, means an increase of 51% in the request and demand of educational formation by ENTRA21.

BEHAVIOR OF DESERTION

PROFITS:
Getting the own micro company: Beneficiary of Entra 21 in La Union is trying to continue extending his knowledge day by day. There are 7 different cases but more representative is about young Mauro Edilberto Zelanyandía who had been initiated his own micro company a Cyber coffee; he start with just one computer but today he have 8 computers in addition offering services of photocopy, edit text, fax, scanner laminations services and stationery store in general. This young created his micro company web site too: http://www.cibermillennium.com.sv.

Insertion dependent uses:
AGAPE of El Salvador in coordination Entra 21 got a work insertion about 45 young from 120 graduated on November/2003, it means 62.5% of students have an employment.

OTHER SUCCES:

• An important success for Entra21 El Salvador is the collaboration to students' professional practices some companies given an opportunity to young student.
  
• One of the suppliers when knew the causes and objectives about project Entra 21 decided to make a donation of equipment that is using in Computer maintenance and repair courses.
  
• At this date Entra 21 Sonsonate has in process other donation from legislative Assembly El Salvador about equipment for Computers Maintenance and Repair course, We expect to concretize this donation on February 2004

NEW AGREEMENTS:

• Ministry of work of El Salvador according to graduated Entra21 students is managing an agreement to employment insertion in La Union, which consists to collect all curriculums from graduated to propose like a first option in the employment agency into Ministry of Work of El Salvador.
  
• ISDEMU (Salvadoran Institute for the Development of the Woman) organization that has offered to its support through Educative Factories on familiar violence and the roll of the woman in the Salvadoran society.
  
• Citizen Security like an organization to leader communal leaders and mayors, is given support to look for companies where young get a employment and make promotions to young came to Entra 21.

Additional activities:

Creative methods that resolve the necessity to educate to young people to be responsible with their acts, so we had shared educative factories about Reproductive sexual Health, (by Dr. Darwin Lopez Dominguez), recovering moral values, to avoid into familiar violence by an Association with specialty in this area (ISDEMU).
