ANTECEDENTS

The program arises in the face of the necessity that the institutions of Christian orientation as AGAPE are linked with the prevention of the HIV-AIDS in the country and particularly in Sonsonate that has become the first department with more cases of HIV-AIDS after the Salvadoran capital (San Salvador)

On the other hand, in the social area of AGAPE they are assisted to more than 30,000 beneficiaries in health for which it was necessary to have an institutional strategy to prevent this pandemic with them and their family groups.
This effort began jointly with a relationship of associate with Catholic Relief Services (CRS) who count with the international experience of many years of work in HIV-AIDS, mainly in Africa where the pandemic attacks to more than 30 million people.

MAIN OBJECTIVE
To diminish the stayed of the HIV-AIDS in the department of Sonsonate and in the areas of influence of AGAPE.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE

To develop a permanent strategy for the Prevention of the HIV-AIDS, the Non discrimination and Attention of the PVVS (People Living with the Virus of the AIDS) and measures of integral Biosecurity in all the services of health that offers the Association AGAPE of El Salvador.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 STRATEGY OF THE "ABC"
It starts with the fact that the only sure and universally accepted forms of preventing the HIV are:
• The Abstinence (for the youths)

• The Mutual Fidelity (for the Adults)

• The behavior Change (for All)
